Media Production prepares students to become industry-ready storytellers through professional-level broadcast production, collaborative newsroom roles, and creative competition through both the Student Television Network (STN) and the Broadcast Alliance for Senior High (BASH). Students work in a newsroom environment, taking on roles such as producer, anchor, editor, and cinematographer while meeting real deadlines and producing broadcast-quality content.

At the heart of the course is a strong emphasis on compassion and purpose. Students learn that media holds tremendous power to shape how stories are seen and understood. Rather than simply announcing information, they are taught to approach every story with empathy—seeking to highlight real voices, authentic experiences, and meaningful perspectives within our community. They learn to notice what others may overlook and transform those moments into thoughtful, visually compelling narratives. Through this process, students develop not only technical excellence, but also the responsibility to tell stories with warmth, integrity, and care.
