Photography 1

Photography 1 is a foundational course focused on learning how to see and compose strong images. Students develop an understanding of basic composition principles such as rule of thirds, framing, angles, perspective, balance, and lighting. The primary goal of this class is to train the eye—learning how to thoughtfully frame and capture a strong photograph.

Students are introduced to DSLR camera functions and learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop to edit and enhance their images. Through guided practice and critique, students build technical confidence and begin developing their visual awareness as photographers.
