Glitch Portrait

In this project, students explore contemporary “glitch” aesthetics and digital distortion techniques using Adobe Photoshop. Students manipulate a portrait of their choice to create a visually dynamic image inspired by modern digital art trends.

The goal of this project is to strengthen technical Photoshop skills while experimenting with layers, color channels, displacement, and duplication effects. Students learn how to intentionally distort an image while maintaining strong composition and visual balance, transforming a traditional portrait into a bold, stylized digital artwork.
